Why so warm?

In the warm room you can work with your body and muscles in a safer way. The heat helps to prevent or heal injuries, because your veins dilate, allowing for more oxygen-rich blood to reach the muscles. Moreover, the heat stimulates sweating and speeds up the removal of waste and toxins in the muscles.

Do you have to be flexible?

Absolutely not. If you are stiff, you have come to the right place to do something about it. Yoga is for everyone to work on their flexibility, strength, balance and endurance. By regularly attending classes, your flexibility will improve, as well as your entire well-being.

I have an injury, can I still attend a class?

Anyone with a spine can do yoga. No matter your injuries, you can always participate. Depending on your injury adjustments can be made to the postures that are temporarily painful. The rule is: no pain, but come and help heal your body. Due to the heat and the effect it has on your body (for example: the dilation of veins and better circulation) your will recover from your injuries much quicker. So feel free to join a class, but don't forget to inform the teacher about your injury. 

What is the duration of a class?

The classic Bikram yoga class takes 90 minutes, but we also offer a variety of other classes. To find out more about any of the classes we provide, look under the header "Our classes".


Are there dressing rooms?

Yes, we have two spacious dressing rooms: one for women and one for men. We have enough hooks and storage compartments for your to store all your belongings. There are no lockers, but no one enters the changing rooms during class; we are among each other. A hairdryer is also available.

Are there showers?

Yes, In each dressing room there are 4 spacious showers, so that you can go home - or wherever else you may be going - fresh and clean.


Can I attend a class if I have a cold or the flu?

A Bikram yoga class gives your immune system a big boost. Colds and the flu pass faster if you practice yoga. As long as you do not have a high fever, it is absolutely fine to attend a class and will even be better for your recovery.

Can I attend a class if I am pregnant? 

Even when you're pregnant, you and your child can experience the benefits of yoga. If you already did Bikram yoga before you became pregnant, you can just keep going and we will adjust a few of the postures (starting at 3 months) to your new belly. If you have never done Bikram Yoga, we will immediately start with a number of adjusted postures. In your customized yoga class we will prevent compression on the abdomen and give your child the space it needs.

Is Bikram yoga suitable for beginners?

Yes, absolutely! The class we teach is a class that you can participate in at any level. It is suitable for all levels, beginner to advanced. It is a challenge for everyone.


How often can I do Bikram yoga? 

You can do Bikram yoga every day. A rest day like in sports is not necessary, because so many healing moments for your body have been built into the class. The more often you attend a class, the faster you will be laying a foundation for you to work off of in any upcoming yoga classes. Come by our studio for a trial class and see for yourself!

Is this form of yoga therapeutic?

Yes, bikram yoga is therapeutic yoga. People recover faster from burnouts, it helps people who deal with post-traumatic stress syndrome, but also physical problems such as: knee problems, hip problems, shoulder injuries, thyroid problems, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, back pain; you name it. Come to us and we will help you in the process of your therapy.


Can I even do Bikram yoga 100 days in a row?

Yes! We actually offer the possibility to take the 100-day challenge. This means that for 100 consecutive days you participate in a Bikram yoga class. In addition to your personal satisfaction, you will be rewarded with a substantial discount on your next class card.

Are there other Bikram yoga schools in Noord-Brabant?

Bikram Yoga Den Bosch is the only originally certified yoga school where Bikram yoga is taught and is allowed to be taught. Wherever you live: in Uden, Tilburg, Breda, Oss, Waalwijk, Rosmalen, Vught, Drunen, Schijndel, you name it, you are welcome to visit our yoga school for your hot yoga classes.
